THE INFLUENCE OF ETHNICITY AND INTERCULTURAL RELATIONS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UKRAINIAN LATE PROTESTANT PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

The article explores the influence of ethnicity and intercultural relations on the development of late Protestant movements in Ukraine. The author examines the integration of Protestantism into the Ukrainian cultural context, focusing on the adaptation of religious practices to national traditions, such as the use of the Ukrainian language in worship services and the celebration of national holidays. Particular attention is given to the internal structure of Protestant churches in Ukraine, where family models of leadership and the moral authority of older generations play a key role. The article also discusses the impact of post-Soviet changes on church governance, the transition to more collegial models of leadership, and the cultural-religious influence on missionary activities. The author concludes that late Protestant movements in Ukraine have successfully adapted to the national context, contributing to the development of Protestant religious and cultural identity within Ukrainian society.
