The article examines the functional and methodological role of associations supporting Protestant education in Galicia, founded by Teodor Cekler, in the socio-pedagogical context of the early 20th century.The activities of school aid committees aimed at preserving and developing Protestant education in the conditions of war, cataclysms and socio-political changes were analysed. Particular attention was paid to the problems of material security for teachers, the organisation of education for refugee children, and the reconstruction of educational infrastructure after the devastating effects of the First World War.The importance of German cultural and educational centres as a significant factor supporting the identity of local Protestant communities and their integration into the wider European educational space was emphasised.
