HISTORICAL-CIVILIZATIONAL STRATEGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROTESTANT RELIGIOUS NETWORK: REGIONAL ASPECT

Abstract

The article conducted a thorough analysis of the origins of Protestantism as one of the key areas of Christianity that emerged in the sixteenth century as a result of the Reformation. Particular attention was paid to historical figures that played a leading role in the formation of this movement, including Martin Luther, Jean Calvin and Ulrich Zwingley. The contribution of modern Protestant theologians, which continue to develop the doctrinal principles of Protestantism and influence the formation of modern Protestant church culture, is also considered. The article shows how theological ideas of the first reformers were embodied in church life and architectural environment. The author emphasizes the formation of key Christian principles that became the basis for the architectural projection and organization of the space of Protestant churches. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the development of the Protestant religious network in the regional dimension, in particular in the Chernivtsi region. The article provides statistical tables that demonstrate the dynamics of increasing the number of Protestant communities from 1991 to 2025. Conclusions have been made about a stable strengthening of the Protestant network as one of the factors of religious pluralism and spiritual development of the region.
