MAIN DIRECTIONS OF INCREASE IN THE EFFICIENCY OF FAMILY COUNSELING IN AN EVANGELICAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The article highlights certain areas of increasing the effectiveness of family counseling in an evangelical environment. In particular, attention is paid to premarital counseling for engaged couples; encouraging couples to pray before deciding to divorce; creation of state training courses on relationships and values; conclusion of marriage contracts (special marriages at the legal level). Pastors are responsible for family counseling in the Church. Therefore, it is important: to create a structure of family ministry in evangelical associations of churches; to organize the training of pastors and their assistants in the field of biblical counseling, including family; forming groups of voluntary advisory assistance in churches with a large number of members. A family counselor must know the Bible well; have divine wisdom (experience and common sense under the guidance of the Holy Spirit); to live a righteous life with humility; be able to communicate and teach; have a sincere desire to help others. The training of a consultant consists of the following components: obtaining thorough biblical knowledge and knowledge about counseling, as well as his self-education.
